Algonquin Park, Ontario's most famous wilderness area, lies 20 minutes to the east. The quaint village of Dorset is 20 minutes to the south by car and may be visited from Foxwood by boat. The town of Huntsville is 30 minutes to the west. Excellent restaurant and shopping facilities are located at each of these points. Guests may enjoy a visit to the studios of the many artists and artisans in the area, to the Pioneer Village in Huntsville, or to the fire tower at Dorset for the area's best view of the fall colours.
