This is just the place for a quiet read ... but if a little more activity is in order, shuffleboard, horseshoes, badminton and a variety of lawn games are available. Indoor recreations include table tennis, bumper pool, darts, pinball and video games. At the waterfront, a slide, a float and a super sandy beach are the main attractions. Windsurfers, open motorboats and a sailboat are available for rental, while a canoe and paddleboat are provided. But if all this is too much, our "lending library" might yield an unread treasure!
Balsam Resort is located on a most beautiful outlook to Balsam Lake and the Trent Waterway. The choice of accommodations includes Studio and One Bedroom Apartments, Two Bedroom Resort Townhouses and Three Bedroom Chalets - all very contemporary and all with sweeping lakeside and beach views. All accommodations have patios or balconies with outdoor furniture.
Other diversions? Balsam Lake is well known for its Pickerel (Walleye), Bass and Muskelunge fishing. Three golf courses are nearby. Shopping, particularly for quality craft goods and antiques, is excellent. Water and air tours are available for pickup at the resort, and ski boats are available for rental nearby.
Dining - out or in. Convenience shopping is available adjacent to the resort; within a short drive there is a wide variety of restaurants, shops and stores that can supply all your holiday needs. |
